This charming 3-bedroom home with a loft features a spacious back deck and offers a modern twist on a classic cabin design. Ideally situated just moments from downtown Tahoe City, the Paige Meadows trailhead, and cross-country ski trails, it also provides a private retreat.

As you enter through the wrap-around deck, you'll be greeted by a cozy living area adorned with a vaulted ceiling, a fireplace, and ample seating for you and your guests.

The home features three bedrooms along with a loft for additional sleeping space. The primary suite features a king-size bed and a full private bathroom. The second bedroom offers a queen-size bed with a plush pillow-top mattress, while the third bedroom includes two twin beds. A conveniently located bathroom serves these three rooms. Upstairs, the loft is a cozy hideaway with rocking chairs and two twin beds, ensuring privacy and comfort.

Step outside to enjoy stunning views of the treetops and forest beyond. A neighborhood trail leads directly to Granlibakken Resort, and Tahoe City is just a leisurely 1.2-mile walk away. The path to Paige Meadows is conveniently located next to the driveway, making outdoor adventures easily accessible right from your doorstep. This home is perfect for hiking, biking, and exploring!

Parking:
There is parking for 4 vehicles in the driveway. All cars must park on the driveway. No street parking per county ordinance.
Prepare for mountain or winter weather driving in winter months. This may mean Four wheel drive with snow tires or chains. Check weather or road reports. AWD and 4WD necessary to get up the mountain roads and some driveways in the winter months.

Other things to Note:
* Renters must be 25+ 
* This is a non-smoking home. 
* Pets are not allowed at this home. 
* Maximum Occupancy per county ordinance is 8 adults
* Use of the BBQ and outdoor furniture is not guaranteed in winter months, due to limited access.
* Like most homes/condos in Tahoe, this home does not have Air Conditioning. There will be fans available for use!
* Your safety matters. This property, may feature exterior security cameras. The cameras are outward facing and do not look into interior spaces. The cameras will continuously record video and sound while guests are in residence.

My family and I needed a place to stay while visiting my son and girlfriend who are seasonal workers in Tahoe. This house was perfect. We had plenty of room for everybody. There was a card table big enough to set up our Christmas puzzle; the kitchen table was perfect for boardgames; the living room was cozy; there is a trail just outside the house, and a nice bakery close-by. I would definitely stay there again if we go visit again.

Overall, very good. Very quiet location away from the Lake with great scenery from the balcony. Close to Tahoe City and walking distance to the local bakery and coffee shop. A little buggy at dawn and dusk this year. Also, lots of spiders for June. Hiking trails nearby. Great stay!

We had a fun stay here! The beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked, and the living room was cozy. We made a fire in the fireplace. The location is great with surrounding trees. The company was responsive. Would stay here again!

Home is in convenient location in neighborhood close to biking/hiking trails. Kitchen well equipped but coffee maker and toaster could be replaced. Arrived during unusually hot weather with few fans available to cool home. Fortunately, the weather cooled and the stay was great.

We really loved our stay in this house - very well kept and clean, comfortable beds and many amenities (although we didn't use / need many). The description of the house is very accurate and the host provided very clear instructions for check-in and check-out. And the location is great of course - nice views over the woods, close to hiking trails and very quiet at the end of a road. Would definitely book again if we're visiting Lake Tahoe in the future !

We absolutely loved the location of this house. It’s at the end of the street with two trailheads on both sides of the house. The house itself was very clean, and beds were comfortable. The nice large deck was perfect for hanging outside eating and playing cards. We will definitely consider renting this home again in the future.

We loved this house! Our favorite so far in Tahoe. The location of the house is in the corner lot, so there’s plenty of yard space for kids to run around. The back deck overlooks the redwood trees and has a trail that goes right passed the house on two sides. We actually biked from the house to downtown with my 10 year old. The inside is super roomy and we had everything we needed to make family dinners throughout the week. My only complaint was the hot water. For such a big house I would have expected there would be more hot water that for two 10 min showers. Some bonus recommendations - would be great if they installed ceiling fans in the bedrooms - it’s a little hot in July, add more board games, and the back porch needs a swing! All in all, would definitely rent from here again!!

Wonderful surprise to find this cabin off away from the street felt very private. Great panoramic view from the patio, felt like we were in a tree house. It was very comfortable for a family of 5 adults. Had all the comforts of home, with local grocery and village just down the road. Great hiking trails started within walking distance from the cabin. Quaint cabin in the trees

Cool location. Last house on the road, next to a couple trail heads. On a slight hill with an elevated vantage of the trees, feels like your in the forest. Mtn bike trails out the front door, paved trails down the street. Very close to the super market, even closer to a health food store and bakery.

So great! We're coming back next year! Perfect!

What an amazing fun place to stay. Quiet and perfect for our two families with young kids. Tucked away on a safe street with nature hikes right out the front door. Close to town to access restaurants and the Truckee river for low key tubing down the river. House is stocked very well with more than enough items if you forgot any! We will be returning as soon as we can. We miss it already. After a few hours of leaving, we received a call from the management company, that they had found a wallet with some money in it, and that they would mail it to us as soon as possible. What a great place and company to manage it. Thank you!!!

I had company in town, need a place to stay. This home was just perfect! for our group. For some it was their first trip to Lake Tahoe and they were wowed by the charm of the cabin and setting. A few of the superlatives that I remember "gorgeous! sincere! sooooo comfortable! relaxing, peaceful" needless to say they have already ask about coming back for a visit.

We had a great time at Granlibakken house in Tahoe! The location was central to our trip. Very convenient to Tahoe city and Tahoe House, the best bakery on that side of the lake. You could hike out in the hills right outside the house. The house was very nice inside and was stocked with everything you would ever need including toys that the grandkids very much enjoyed. Spectacular site overlooking the canyon too. Really felt like you were out in the woods...because you were! Yeah, we had a great time!

We usually stay at The Resort at Squaw Creek but never again. This is a beautiful cabin, very close to Sunnyside Marina. The land is beautiful. Very nice, beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped. We had a great stay and will hopefully stay here again!
