Wonderful Stay

We had an incredible Tahoe Christmas vacation stay! It snowed on Christmas Eve and created the exact atmosphere we were after. We made snowmen, carved snow angels and even built an amazing igloo. Down the street we even found a great spot to do some fantastic sledding. The unexpected delight was the bumper pool table upstairs. We had never played before but this ended up being a great surprise. Most importantly, our dog had the best time of all. We will definitely be returning to this winter wonderland!

Stayed for Thanksgiving with family. Ample room for 8 of us between the two main floors and loft area. Lovely home with plenty of open space. We didn't get to use the outside deck spaces due to weather, but it looked enjoyable for other seasons. The house had a well appointed kitchen with almost everything that you might need. Located in a quiet neighborhood and great for a cozy time with family.

We had a great time at the River Rock House in Tahoma. We vacationed with 3 families total and there was plenty of space for all of us. The kids ages ranged from infant to 10 years old and everyone had a great time. The location was perfect for a day at Meeks Bay and a walk to Chambers Landing. We would definitely rent this house again!

Cabin was very spacious and visually appealing. The mattresses on the beds were uncomfortable and should probably be replaced. The couch was well worn in. It was clean and had ample kitchen utensils and dishes etc. very quiet neighborhood and we spotted some bears while eating breakfast at the kitchen table. Overall, I would recommend this cabin for a stay in Tahoe! The property management company was very professional and quick to respond. ��

Property was very easy to get to. Grocery store about a 15 min drive to Safeway. Remember to bring your toiletries/toilet paper since none provided. Also, condiments to cook. Bedding needs to be upgraded and bedding in beds didn't seem like it was changed. Maybe just too overused. Kitchen equipment satisfactory. Maybe another pot would help. Lacking in silverware. Cell reception not great since home located about 6 min from main road.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was my wife and I and 3 late teen/early 20s and 1 dog. The location is nice and quiet. The house was great for our needs. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of space for us. We used the poker table, wifi, tv and everything worked fine. I would have appreciated a little more water pressure, but that is a minor nit. Would definitely stay again.

We love, love, loved the house! Very comfy beds, 3 bathrooms ( much appreciated) plenty of open space for our large Thanksgiving dinner! Nicely updated decor and furnishings. I highly recommend River Rock house in Tahoma!!

We had a fantastic time at the river rock house for spring break! Place was really cool with a really beautiful and functional kitchen (we love to cook). Loved the upstairs loft with card table/bumper pool. Snow was up to the 2nd floor, and it was a great warm comfortable place to stay. Location was great too - about 15 min drive to Tahoe City.

This is a wonderful house, but for 7 people there were not enough drinking glasses, utensils or even a cutting board. We had an 8 hour power outage and tried to cook using the BBQ but there wasn’t any fuel. Despite heaving to purchase a cutting board and glasses we had a fabulous time and enjoyed the house immensely. Bring your own bar soap, extra TP and paper towels and hopefully they will resolve the above mentioned deficiencies.

This home was perfect for our family of 7. We comfortably stayed with 6 adults, 1 child, and 1 dog. There was plenty of room to accommodate us all. The house was clean and well-maintained. We also appreciated the help and communications from Tahoe Rental Company when we realized we had left a wallet at the house after check-out. They were very kind and helped find and return the wallet to us. We will definitely rent this property again in the future.

We stayed in this beautiful home for a week at the end of a February. We were a party of 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog and there was more than enough room for everyone. The location is perfect for snowshoeing since it’s half a block away from a park. Also, it’s a 10 mins drive to Homewood if you’re interested in skiing or snowboarding.

A very spacious cabin with a modern touch. Heating in this dream cabin will keep you very warm through the winter, but make sure the guests on the bottom floors love extra heat because the it will heat up first before the rest of floors do. Though we did feel like the bedding could have been washed better the cabin was very clean, organized, and equipped with all of the utensils we needed for our stay. This is a wonderful place and my family enjoyed every second here.
We are glad that you loved staying at River Rock House, this home is a fan favorite! This home sits towards the back of the green belt of Tahoma, which makes it great for summer and winter activities in the outdoors. Beautiful and super clean house with a great design for a family. Loved the living room hang out, open kitchen, tile and wood flooring, kitchen equipment. The location was awesome - walk back into the woods for sledding and hiking. Close to Homewood and the lake. We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation. Can't say enough good things about this place.

My partner and I had a wonderful time staying in the cabin. There's plenty of room and you're in a secluded neighborhood. The Calloway Pots and Pans are a wonderful touch. We will definitely be back but more prepared next time around.The only reason I can't give full 5 stars is because you have to bring almost every spice you'd need to cook. There was only a tiny bit of salt and pepper, coffee (we had to go get more after the first morning), and oil. I'm used to having a base level of spices that don't go bad at airbnb's. The only other "flaw" is the 10am check out with very aggressive cleaning requirements. Stripping beds, starting laundry, dishes, etc. Overall updated cabin with a ton of space for hosting and great kitchen for cooking.
